PM Narendra Modi graced the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. He gave his blessings to the couple as they touched his feet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Saturday. For the unversed, the shubh aashirwad ceremony was held on the second day of the grand wedding ceremony, which included the newlyweds and their family members getting blessings from priests

A short yet sweet video from this ceremony has gone viral on the internet. It shows PM Modi meeting Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant during the function. As the video goes on, the newlyweds kneel down and touch PM Modi's feet to seek his blessings. Not only that, but they also fold their hands in gratitude. Further, PM Modi can be seen giving a gift to the couple.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre on July 12. The opulent wedding combined Western customs with Gujarati customs. The pair recited their wedding vows to each other as they took pheras around the sacred fire and exchanged varmalas.

The wedding celebration was attended by former UK prime ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, futurist Peter Diamandis, artist Jeff Koons, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, and former Canadian PM Stephen Harper. The event was also graced by Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, John Cena, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Nick Jonas and an array of Bollywood celebrities. Numerous social media influencers were also present at the event.

This grand ceremony came after months of pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar and Europe.

Anant is the youngest son of billionaire businessman, Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. Radhika is the daughter of businessman Viren Merchant and his wife Shaila.

Radhika Merchant was seen preparing for her vidai in a Manish Malhotra designed red and gold embroidered lehenga. John Cena is reported to have departed from Mumbai after the wedding.

While Madhuri Dixit grabbed eyeballs with her recreation of ‘Choli Ke Peechey’, fans got emotional at SRK and Salman Khan dancing together. Rajnikanth, Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bacchan were all spotted together.

Actor couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal left everyone awestruck during the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding ceremony at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Friday. Mumbai continues to be on orange alert as the India Meteorological Department predicts heavy to very heavy rains in isolated areas.




Other celebrities who were spotted at Mumbai's Jio World Drive venue of the wedding included Priyanka Chopra with her husband Nick Jonas, John Cena, AR Rahman, Anil Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Each of them posed for shutterbugs.Just a day before the wedding, American influencer Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian landed in India. This is reportedly Kim's first trip to India. Former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson also arrived in India on last night.

Other politicians who attended the wedding include Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his deputies Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, his wife Dimple and Shiv Sena (UBT) head Uddhav Thackeray.
